Michael "Thor" Thorstenson - #6 Solo Acro

Michael Thorstenson,”Thor”, is from Marco Island, Florida.  He has over 26,000 hours of flight time.  He is a retired U.S. Navy pilot flying DC-6B, C-130, and DC-9 aircraft during his 23 year Navy career of both active duty stationed in Guam, Hawaii and the Philippines and while serving with the Naval Reserve was based in Chicago and Atlanta. As a student Naval aviator he flew the T-28 aircraft and landed them on the aircraft carrier USS Lexington.  He is a retired pilot with American Airlines having served for 30 years flying the MD-80, B727, B757, B767 and served as an international Captain for 20 years of those years flying routes to Europe, South and Central America and the Caribbean.

Mick currently conducts pilot training for new owners transitioning to the T-28 aircraft and also trains other pilots in formation and acrobatics for the T-28 aircraft.
